Professional Statement
Emma Walton is an emerging dance artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Her nascent practice is informed by extensive training in dance, gymnastics, and the application of digital technologies to inform her choreographic practice. She has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) at the Queensland University of Technology with Distinction, and has gained qualifications in RAD Ballet Teaching, Intermediate Gymnastics Coaching, and Intermediate Gymnastics Judging.
For thirteen years, Emma has trained and competed nationally in artistic gymnastics, achieving level 10 in 2019, and has been provided with opportunities such as being casted in movies, as well as travelling to America to experience gymnastics at the International Gymnastics Camp.
Her ballet training has been strongly influenced by the Royal Academy of Dance and Comdance, where she has achieved successful results in all her ballet exams up to Advanced 2 and Premier Danseur. She has also trained in jazz, lyrical, pom, hip hop, tap, and contemporary.

Through her intense training processes, Emma has learnt to be resilient, determined and persistent, whilst also attaining positive physical factors such as strength and flexibility.
